Special Working Group will consider problems of international cargo carriers

A working group consisting of representatives of cargo carriers and State institutions has been established for expeditious solution of problems arising to road cargo carriers transporting goods by international routes. The working group will constantly follow and accordingly react to the fast-changing situations in Russia and Belarus.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the State Road Transport Inspectorate, the Customs Department and Lithuanian National Road Carriers’ Association Linava will analyze important issues related to carriers’ activities.

 

In the middle of April, Belarus has tightened the checks on EU trailers carrying goods to third countries by bilateral permits issued in Russia. At the same time Russia increased fines for violation of permits use procedure. The new order is mandatory for all EU member states.
