Vilnius International Airport intends to keep the growth rate

Vilnius International Airport has set ambitious plans for future years – the flows of passengers are expected to grow by 25%, and at least 7 new direct destinations will be opened. The period of 2012-2014 should be profitable.

In 2012-2013 the airport will make efforts to continue the reduction of expenditure. Application of pricing system attractive to airlines and growth of passenger flows should increase profit from aviation and land handling activities.  
 
In the year 2011 the market of Baltic countries was growing fast in Europe: in five major airports of Baltic countries – Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga – general flow of passengers increased by 15% during 11 months of 2011, thus exceeding the European average (4.5%). Proportions of passengers in Lithuanian airports increased by 17%. The greatest growth rate was in Vilnius International Airport – it reached 22%.
