Lithuania will implement National vessel traffic monitoring information system

With support of EU financing assistance, Lithuanian Maritime Safety Administration intends to implement the National vessel traffic monitoring information system.

Application of advanced information technologies and use of Automatic Identification System will enable the establishment and implementation of vessel traffic monitoring information system, which in case of incident will enable emergency reaction services of Lithuania and EU member states to transfer effectively the information on ships transporting dangerous and polluting goods.
