New railway border control post between Lithuania and Belarus

From now on, trains crossing the State border between Lithuania and Belarus will be checked at the newly installed railway border control post in Stasylos.

A new railway station building has been constructed in Stasylos. It has modern engineering infrastructure, advanced traffic management and communication systems, up-to-date video surveillance equipment. Comfortable working conditions provided for officers.  

 

“After completing works at border crossing areas, JSC Lithuanian Railways are planning to improve railway traffic with Belarus and launch a train to Belorussian town Lida. We consider that the train should be popular when visa regime applicable to people living in border areas will be simplified”, said Eligijus Masiulis, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania.
